The theme of the Blues training kit draws inspiration from the 'four tides' that surround the Blues region. The wave motif is presented in a stylised form, creating a dynamic, looping design. When two or more players wear the kit side-by-side, the patterns interconnect to form an extended wave, symbolising the concept of unity and the ethos of 'together stronger.' The white accents at the top of the design evoke the appearance of foam cresting on a breaking wave, further reinforcing the maritime theme. Additionally, this season the maroon elements represent and pay homage to the North Harbour region, adding a sense of place and pride to the design.
